Malteurop Australia produces basic malts – Pilsen and Pale from barley. USI provides maintenance services to the Geelong Malting Plant, working on various projects involving fabrication, installation and repairs. We were recently awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by Malteurop in recognition of our valuable safety contributions.
The Barwon Water Biosolids Management Project is an environmentally sustainable program, providing treatment and advantageous use of biosolids from the Black Rock Water Reclamation Plant. At the centre of this award-winning project is a fully enclosed thermal drying facility that can treat up to 60,000 tonnes of biosolids a year with no dust or odour arising. The facility is the first of its kind in Australia and is operated by Trility.
USI Pty Ltd supplied plant, equipment, tools and labour on the project providing the following services:

Boral is Australia’s largest building and construction materials supplier with set-ups in all states and territories. It is a major supplier of products and materials to the residential and commercial construction industry as well as road and engineering markets. USI Pty Ltd have been working with Boral since 2002 providing a range of services such as the insulation of ducting, roofing and maintenance jobs as requested.
The Viva Energy Geelong Refinery is one of four refineries in Australia, supplying over 50% of Victoria’s fuel. The refinery produces Avgas, bitumen and solvents used in mining, paint and adhesives. USI Pty Ltd have supplied its asbestos removal and insulation services to the petrochemical refinery since 2000, executing routine maintenance activities, shutdowns and projects.

This project involved the manufacture and installation of 12 Stainless Steel weatherproof vents to a high security building.
This involved work for Esso including the fabrication and insulation of spools using Pyrogel and Cryogel, both onsite at Mobil Longford and Sale.
Pyrogel is flexible insulation for hot work and is a product for moderate to high temperatures -40 Degrees Celsius to 650 Degrees Celsius.
Cryogel is flexible insulation for cold work and is designed for moderate to cryogenic temperatures -265 Degrees Celsius to 125 Degrees Celsius.
This project involved providing ongoing maintenance to supply, fabricate and install cladding and insulation to various Telstra Sites including Geelong, Seymour and Orange.
This project involved removing corroded ducting at wool scouring plant and replacing it with Stainless Steel ducting ensuring improved airflow.
USI Pty Ltd worked with Kingdom Projects for Hungry Jacks removing asbestos from the North Geelong Restaurant to allow for renovation upgrades.
Barrett Burston, a major supplier to the domestic brewing industry, operates a facility in Geelong that includes a roaster for specialty products such as crystal, roasted barley, and black malt, catering to the growing demand for new beer varieties. USI Pty Ltd provided support at this location by relining and installing heat matting on the Roaster Drum and Burner Box, as well as lagging and insulating stainless steel piping, bends, and ductwork connected to the fan.
USI Pty Ltd conducted works at a number of different parkland locations throughout Victoria, removing Asbestos contaminated material and debris promptly and securely, ensuring the safety of the public.
USI Pty Ltd worked with Loaram Constructions to fabricate and install interior ceiling mounted screens as well as perforated and powder coated metal for a bin screened area at the Grovedale APCO, Torquay Road.
Insulate & Clad Column at Thornton Engineering Workshop. Column is over 34m in length and 5m in diameter on the main body and 2.5m in diameter on the top of narrow end. This Column will be shipped to Brisbane.
USI recently completed works at HMAS Cerberus for Brockman Engineering where we insulated and clad Storage Tank using EWP’s. Tank size was 13m High and 8m in Diameter.
